About the Cures Act

The 21st Century Cures Act gives you more access to your digital medical records. So if you already have a MyChart account, you’ll be able to view test results and clinical notes as soon as they become available.

While getting results sooner is nice, they’re usually easier to understand when you talk with your provider. So if you want to give provider a little extra time to contact you, change your MyChart preferences to delay results by 7 days. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Log in to MyChart.
  2. Click Medical Tools.
  3. Click My Questionnaires.
  4. Select Delay of Results Release.
  5. Select I want to delay my results.
